Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India. Yoga is the perfect complement to achieve optimal health . We offer group classes and private instruction as a way to support others in becoming their most authentic self, living mindfully and seeking peace.
Yoga-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Y-CBT) is an evolution in current psychological thought, as it treats both the mind and the body by blending traditional and non-traditional cognitive behavioral therapy methods (CBT) with yogic philosophies and techniques (Y) and psychotherapy. The result offers the possibility of comprehensive and transformational resolution of anxiety and depression. The goal of this treatment includes helping clients to develop a greater sense of well-being and improve their ability to handle stress with more resilience and a renewed attitude of hope and victory. Research and evidenced based materials were developed by Dr. Khalsa and Julie Grener-Ferris, LCSW in Boston. We are among the first on the west coast to utilize this treatment model.
