Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a form of pharmacotherapy that refers to any treatment for a substance abuse disorder that includes pharmacological intervention as a part of a comprehensive substance disorder treatment plan. It helps people to manage their addictions so that the benefits of recovery can be maintained. With the growing need for Opioid Treatment in our communities, Rising Phoenix Wellness Services and its medical team provide Medication Assisted Treatment. This is now a Federal best practice treatment to address the Opioid-epidemic Some medications used to treat opioid use disorders can be used to manage withdrawal and as a maintenance treatment to reduce craving, lessen withdrawal symptoms, and maintain recovery. The medications are used to help a patient function comfortably without illicit opioids or alcohol while balance is gradually restored to the brain circuits that have been altered by prolonged substance use.
Medications are an important element of treatment for many patients, especially when combined with counseling and other behavioral therapies. Rising Phoenix Wellness Services firmly believes in providing a "whole-patient" approach to our services to help you or your loved ones recover and live a long-term sober life. MAT is a highly effective treatment option for individuals with alcohol and opioid use disorders.
