Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a solutions-oriented form of treatment that focuses on challenging the thought patterns of individuals. This form of therapy helps reframe distorted thinking patterns to help individuals decrease unhealthy thoughts.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a specific type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that focuses on providing healthier thought process to better regulate emotions. This type of therapy is evidenced based to treatment MIT and SUD.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a form of trauma therapy using clinical tools to help the body resolve trauma. The approach guides individuals to develop increased tolerance for difficult bodily sensations.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based therapy that utilizes eye movements to desensitize uncomfortable memories and make new brain connections to provide relief for anxiety, depression, PTSD and SUD.

Solution Focus is goal-oriented therapy to assist the client in envisioning immediate resolution to one’s problems. Clients focus on goals to improve present issues more quickly.

Existential Therapy is a more deep-thinking therapy to help a client take responsibilities for decisions and authentic living. We also use this method to cope with anxiety by living in the present.

Motivational Interviewing is used to help clients resolve ambivalent feelings, this tool is often used to address addictions by assisting client to gain motivation for change.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) focuses on identifying negative self-thoughts and encourages healthier feelings by activating events to assess maladaptive thoughts in order to dispel irrational beliefs.

Equine Therapy involves hands-on activities between a horse and an individual. This form of experimental therapy provides a different environment for individuals to address underlying issues that may not have been uncovered in traditional “talk therapy.”

Psychodrama Therapy is an experiential form of therapy that allows for correction through re-experiencing an event with improvement and role play.

Yoga Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Y-CBT) treats both the mind and the body by blending traditional and non-traditional cognitive behavioral therapy methods (CBT) with yogic philosophies and techniques (Y) and psychotherapy. The goal with this type of therapy is to develop a greater sense of well-being and improve one’s ability to handle stress with more resilience.

Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR): Also known as Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Rising Phoenix offers an outpatient program with the option of participating in MAR, when appropriate and in conjunction with our therapeutic programming. MAR is a form of pharmacotherapy that refers to any treatment for substance use disorder that includes a pharmacological intervention in one’s recovery plan.

Mindfulness and Meditation: These concepts originally based on Buddhist principles and have now become evidence based to help individuals relax, stay in the moment and improve brain health. Meditation has been shown to improve mood, and create new neuropathways helping expedite recovery.
